You can create an account from the login screen by tapping "Sign Up". You'll need to provide an email address and create a secure password. After verifying your email, you can start tracking your nutrition.
No! You can use NutriBase without creating an account. However, creating an account enables cloud sync across devices and backs up your data.
During the onboarding process, you'll be asked to grant Apple Health permissions. You can also enable/disable specific permissions later in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > NutriBase.
Tap the Food tab, select a meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snacks), then tap the + button. You can search for foods, scan barcodes, or create custom foods.
From the Dashboard tab, long-press on any card to enter edit mode. You can then drag cards to rearrange them, or tap the minus button to remove cards. Add new cards from the "Available Widgets" section at the bottom.
NOVA is a food classification system that groups foods by their level of processing. NutriBase tracks NOVA 4 foods (ultra-processed foods) to help you make informed choices about food quality, not just quantity.
Your goals are calculated based on your profile (age, gender, height, weight, activity level) and selected nutrition plan. We use evidence-based formulas to estimate your calorie and macro needs. You can always customize these targets manually.
Yes! You can manually log weight entries directly in the Weight tab, even without connecting to Apple Health.
Go to Settings > Profile and adjust your calorie goal, protein target, carb target, and fat target. Changes take effect immediately.
Absolutely. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. If you create an account, synced data is encrypted and stored securely. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data from our servers. Local data will remain on your device until you uninstall the app.
Nutrition data comes from public databases and may occasionally be inaccurate. You can edit any food entry to correct the values, or create a custom food with the correct information.
Yes! Contact us at nutribase951@gmail.com to request a data export. We'll provide your data in CSV or JSON format within 7 business days.
